Poker: How To Play
Poker is played with a regular deck of 52 cards without Jokers. It is pretty much a game of chance. Sure there are a lot of professional players out there but the chance is always the same for anybody to get the right cards or not. Before you sit down at a poker table make sure to read the sign next to the dealer which shows the minimum table limit. After you make the first minimum bet, five cards are dealt at first, face down, to each player. After this first deal the first round of betting starts. You have to meet the highest bet to stay in the game. Then you have to decide which cards you want to keep and which to discard. You can hold or throw away as many cards as you like. After everybody on the table decides which cards they want to hold or discard, the dealer deals the same amount of cards to each player as they threw away. After the second and final deal the betting is about to start. After the final betting round there is a showdown. The hands of the players are compared. The player with the strongest hand is the winner.

Poker: General Information
Poker is a popular game throughout the world. It combines principles of card games known hundreds of years ago in Europe and probably long before that in the Orient, but in its present form it is distinctly of American origin. There are many variations of Poker, but they differ mostly in details and all follow the same basic principles. A person who has learned these principles can play without difficulty in any game. Poker is a game of betting as to which player holds the best hand. In most cases, best hand contains the five highest-ranking cards, but what is considered the best hand can vary in some types of Poker. In a High/Low Poker game, two players have the opportunity to win and split the pot. The player with the highest-ranking hand and the player with the lowest-ranking hand win. All bets made by all players go in a pile of chips in the center of the table, called the pot. No player can compete for the pot unless he or she is willing to meet the highest bet made by another player. Because of this rule, players are able to bluff and win the pot. The object of the game is to win the pot. A player can win the pot in one of the two ways. After making all the bets there is a showdown. The winneris the player with the strongest hand. If during betting, a player makes a bet that no other players are willing to meet, that player wins the pot without showing his/her cards. Poker is played with a 52-card deck. Each player receives one cards at a time. The cards are dealt clockwise. .

Speak up when you see an error such as an improper amount of a bet, a card going to the wrong person or a flashed card, or the pot about to be incorrectly awarded.
