Rules Of Poker
Poker is played with a regular deck of 52 cards without Jokers. It is pretty much a game of chance. Sure there are a lot of professional players out there but the chance is always the same for anybody to get the right cards or not. Before you sit down at a poker table make sure to read the sign next to the dealer which shows the minimum table limit. After you make the first minimum bet, five cards are dealt at first, face down, to each player. After this first deal the first round of betting starts. You have to meet the highest bet to stay in the game. You can leave all the cards or you can throw away some of them. You can hold all the cards as well as discard all of them. After everybody on the table decides which cards they want to hold or discard, the dealer deals the same amount of cards to each player as they threw away. After the second and final deal the betting is about to start. After the final betting round there is a showdown. The hands of the players are compared. The player with the strongest hand is the winner.

Poker is a popular game throughout the world. It combines principles of card games known hundreds of years ago in Europe and probably long before that in the Orient, but in its present form it is distinctly of American origin. There are many variations of Poker, but they differ mostly in details and all follow the same basic principles. A person who has learned these principles can play without difficulty in any game. Poker is a game of betting as to which player holds the best hand. In most cases, best hand contains the five highest-ranking cards, but what is considered the best hand can vary in some types of Poker. In a High/Low Poker game, two players have the opportunity to win and split the pot. The player with the highest-ranking hand and the player with the lowest-ranking hand win. All bets made by all players go in a pile of chips in the center of the table, called the pot. No player can compete for the pot unless he or she is willing to meet the highest bet made by another player. Because of this rule, players are able to bluff and win the pot. To win the pot is the objective of the game. There are two ways of winning the pot. After all bets are in, all players that are still in show their hands. The player with the best hand wins. If during betting, a player makes a bet that no other players are willing to meet, that player wins the pot without showing his/her cards. Poker is played with a 52-card deck. The cards are dealt one at a time, clockwise motion (number of cards varies with game). Aces are high, but aces rank low in the sequence A-2-3-4-5.

Etiquette At Poker Table
The winner racks the pot and only then you can move another player's cards. You can touch or move the cards of other gamblers only if they permit it. You cards are safe if you put them face down on the table and put a chip on top of them. The dealer has to offer a cut of the deck to the player to his right. The player can cut, tap or pass the cut to the player to his right. If the player decides to tap it means that there is no need for cutting. If you answer your mobile phone in the middle of a hand it means that you fold your hand. You’d better leave the phone at home or turn it off. A player should not talk across a player who is involved in a hand. Never use profanity and obscenities during the game. Players can’t shout in the casino, even if you win or lose. Remember that you can stop playing anytime. Every player must respect the dealer and his job. It is not the dealer’s fault if you lose. Cards must be discarded on a low line of flight so that people can't see them. Place chips as far forward as reasonably possible to make it easier for the dealer to scoop them. Speak up when you see an error such as an improper amount of a bet, a card going to the wrong person or a flashed card, or the pot about to be incorrectly awarded.

The true origin of the game remains shrouded in mystery. In the USA the game of Poker originated from New Orleans and spread along the riverboats that traveled the Mississippi and Ohio rivers. The game of Poker became very popular nearly at once, but then it was a little different from the game we play now. Later, during the Civil War there appeared new variations of this game and they became very popular. Stud, Draw and Straight Pokers were introduced and they became every popular. During the Wild West period of United States history, a place where one could play Poker could be found in just about every town. Only when playing Poker you play against other players and not against the house. Though there are a lot of Poker variations, which differ from each other, the principle of winning hands remain the same. Nowadays Poker is one of the popular and most played card games in the world.
