Poker is played with a regular deck of 52 cards without Jokers. It is pretty much a game of chance. Sure there are a lot of professional players out there but the chance is always the same for anybody to get the right cards or not. Before you sit down at a poker table make sure to read the sign next to the dealer which shows the minimum table limit. After you make the first minimum bet, five cards are dealt at first, face down, to each player. The first deal is followed by the first betting round. You have to meet the highest bet to stay in the game. Afterwards you have to decide which cards you want to keep and which ones you want to throw away. You can hold all the cards as well as discard all of them. After everybody on the table decides which cards they want to hold or discard, the dealer deals the same amount of cards to each player as they threw away. Then the second deal and the betting round follow. After the final betting round there is a showdown. The hands of the players are compared. The player with the strongest hand is the winner.

The winnerracks the pot and only then you can move another player's cards. You can touch or move the cards of other gamblers only if they permit it. You cards are safe if you put them face down on the table and put a chip on top of them. The dealer has to offer a cut of the deck to the player to his right.
