Poker Rules
Poker is played with a regular deck of 52 cards without Jokers. It is pretty much a game of chance. Sure there are a lot of professional players out there but the chance is always the same for anybody to get the right cards or not. Before you sit down at a poker table make sure to read the sign next to the dealer which shows the minimum table limit. After you make the first minimum bet, five cards are dealt at first, face down, to each player. After this first deal the first round of betting starts. To stay into the game you have to make a bet equal to the highest bet made by one of the players. Afterwards you have to decide which cards you want to keep and which ones you want to throw away. If you have good cards you can hold all of them, if you have bad cards you can throw away all of them as well. The cards which were thrown away will be replaced with the same number of cards. After the second and final deal the betting is about to start. After everybody on the table is done with the betting the highest ranked hand wins and gets whatever is in the pot in the middle.

Poker is a popular game throughout the world. It combines principles of card games known hundreds of years ago in Europe and probably long before that in the Orient, but in its present form it is distinctly of American origin. There are many variations of Poker, but they differ mostly in details and all follow the same basic principles. A person who has learned these principles can play without difficulty in any game. Poker is a game of betting as to which player holds the best hand. In most cases, best hand contains the five highest-ranking cards, but what is considered the best hand can vary in some types of Poker. In a High/Low Poker game, two players have the opportunity to win and split the pot. The player with the highest-ranking hand and the player with the lowest-ranking hand win. All bets made by all players go in a pile of chips in the center of the table, called the pot. No player can compete for the pot unless he or she is willing to meet the highest bet made by another player. Because of this rule, players are able to bluff and win the pot. Every player tries to win the jackpot. The pot can be won in two different ways. After all bets are in, all players that are still in show their hands. The player who has the strongest hand is the winner. The player can make a very high bet, which will not be supported by other players. In this case other players have to fold and the player with the high bet is the winnerwithout showing his cards. All cards of the 52 card deck are used. Only one card at a time is dealt. The cards are dealt in a clockwise direction. Aces are high, but aces rank low in the sequence A-2-3-4-5.

Etiquette At Poker Table
The winnerracks the pot and only then you can move another player's cards. You can touch or move the cards of other gamblers only if they permit it. You cards are safe if you put them face down on the table and put a chip on top of them. The dealer has to offer a cut of the deck to the player to his right. The player can cut, tap or pass the cut to the player to his right. If the player decides to tap it means that there is no need for cutting. If you answer your mobile phone in the middle of a hand it means that you fold your hand. Don’t take your cell phone with you or turn it off. It is not allowed to talk to other players involved in the game. Never use profanity and obscenities during the game. You can’t shout in the casino. Remember that you can stop playing anytime. You must hold the dealer and his job in respect. If you lose and think that the dealer is to blame, you are mistaken. It will be better if other players don’t see the cards you discard, so you’d better discard them on a low line of flight. Place chips as far forward as reasonably possible to make it easier for the dealer to scoop them. Speak up when you see an error such as an improper amount of a bet, a card going to the wrong person or a flashed card, or the pot about to be incorrectly awarded.

The game of Poker is based on several games, but still nobody can say for sure what these games are. Poker can be based on one of the Chinese or Persian card games. According to some books and dictionaries the game came from France. China was the first country in which card games appeared, in Persia there was a game with 25 cards and 5 suits and in France gamblers began to use decks consisting of suits made from spades, diamonds, clubs, and hearts. The true origin of the game remains shrouded in mystery. In the USA the game of Poker originated from New Orleans and spread along the riverboats that traveled the Mississippi and Ohio rivers. At the beginning of the 19th century the game was extremely popular, but it differed from the modern version of the game. Later, during the Civil War there appeared new variations of this game and they became very popular. During the Civil War stud poker, the draw, and the straight Poker appeared and became very popular. New Poker variations such as Stud, Draw and Straight Pokers enjoyed wide popularity during the Wild West period of the US history. Only when playing Poker you play against other players and not against the house. Though there are a lot of Poker variations, which differ from each other, the principle of winning hands remain the same. Nowadays you can play Poker in any casino in nearly any country.
